This is Nathaniel, a dog in need of adoption by a new home
Nathaniel is looking for an adult only home. When Nathaniel becomes scared his reaction is to growl or snap so his new home needs to have experience dealing with a reactive dog. Nathaniel gets along with other dogs his size at the shelter but will need a meet and greet with any resident canines prior to adoption. His new home will need to be feline free. Nathaniel has a problem in one of his legs and our vets took a look at it and have said he has restrictive range of motion in back leg due to an old injury. He seems to be using it fine and just sits with it sticking out. This will need to be monitored by your vet. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.

All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.

If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
