Man struck by SUV while crossing Evergreen Way in Everett

EVERETT — A man crossing Evergreen Way in Everett was injured when he was struck by a Hummer HE SUV on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the 10700 block, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.

The injured man, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with serious injuries.

The man was not in a marked crosswalk. He began to cross the road from the east when he turned back and was struck by the southbound vehicle.

Three lanes of the road were closed while police investigated the accident scene.
