Medical examiner’s office: Lynnwood man’s death a suicide

LYNNWOOD — A man found dead earlier this month near a brush fire in unincorporated Lynnwood committed suicide, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has concluded.

The 63-year-old Lynnwood man died of heat-related injuries and smoke inhalation, authorities said.

Sheriff’s deputies suspected suicide early in the investigation. The man’s body was discovered off Larch Way around 1:20 a.m. June 3.
