Live at the Opera House: 5 p.m. third Thursdays, Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St. Admission is $5. The series schedule is June 15: Joan Penney Trio. July 20: Soulevard. Aug. 17: The Margaret Wilder Band.
Petty Thief, Mas Tequila, Hot Lava: The tribute bands — to Tom Petty, Sammy Hagar and the B-52s — will perform starting at 7 p.m. June 16 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets are $15. Call 425-258-6766. Petty Thief was formed in 2007 when Andy Volmer of Snohomish gathered together some musician friends to play a set of songs by Tom Petty &the Heartbreakers. What started as a one-night gig in Seattle has resulted in 10 years of concerts throughout the region. Petty Thief has been a popular draw at the Historic Everett.
Acoustic Artistry at the Center: The concert series continues June 16 with singers/songwriters Kat Eggleston and Bill Davie. Tickets are $20 at the door, Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Call 360-387-0222. Proceeds benefit the Second Chance Expansion Project. Music of the Sea, with William Pint and Felicia Dale is July 14.
Jazz at the Center: The series continues with a dinner concert with the Randy Porter Trio from 5:30 to 9:15 p.m. June 21, Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Tickets are $35 general, $15 students. Deadline to RSVP is June 16. Call 360-387-0222. More at camanocenter.org. EntreMundos Quarteto performs at 7 p.m. July 6. Tickets for the July show are $20 and free for students.
Chris Knight: The well-known singer/songwriter from Kentucky — who has been compared to Prine, Cash and Springsteen — comes to Loco Billy’s Wild Moon Saloon, 27021 102nd Ave. NW, for a concert 9 p.m. June 22. Tickets are $20 at brownpapertickets.com or $25 at 6:30 p.m. at the door. The Lowdown Drifters open with an acoustic set. Knight describes his music as country, rock, roots and even pop.
The Spur Festival: The third annual country music festival (rock, bluegrass as well) is June 22-25 at the Darrington music park. Ticket prices vary. For information, go to www.thespurfestival.com.
