It will be “International Walk to School Day.”
Volunteers will walk home from school with students to promote safe pedestrian behavior and to point out potential dangers and how to avoid them. The walk will begin at Whittier and end at Northwest Neighborhood Park at 13th Street and Colby Avenue.
Nationwide, Safe Kids USA and participating schools will offer more than 1,000 International Walk to School Day activities.

There will be an emergency call box outside the front doors, but people who live in town should call from home, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said. Non-urgent crime reports also can be filed online at www.ci.lynnwood.wa.us/police.
Fingerprinting services will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. No appointment is required.
