Lake Stevens police, firefighters to face off in softball match for food bank, family center

LAKE STEVENS — Police officers and firefighters in Lake Stevens are planning a “Guns-n-Hoses Softball Showdown” this weekend.

Police and fire department employees are scheduled to compete in a softball tournament starting at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cavelero Mid High School fields at 8220 24th St. SE.

The cost of admission is either a box of macaroni and cheese, or a new toy. Donations will go to the Lake Stevens Community Food Bank and the Lake Stevens Family Center.

There also will be emergency vehicles on display.
