The 787’s launch customer, All Nippon Airways, will receive all 55 of its Dreamliners on order by the end of 2017.
“It’s kind of catching up (for) our delay,” said Satoru Fujiki, senior vice president of All Nippon Airways, during a briefing with journalists Sunday.
Boeing and ANA executives signed the contract for delivery of the first Dreamliner on Sunday. The two will celebrate the delivery in a ceremony Monday. On Tuesday, ANA will fly the 787 to Tokyo.
By March 2012, Boeing will have delivered 12 787s to its Dreamliner launch customer, he said. “Our delivery pace is quite accelerated.”
