Officials from the Boeing Co. and All Nippon Airways have signed the final paperwork that clears the way for the first delivery of the 787 on Monday.

Scott Fancher, general manager of the 787 program, told journalists at a briefing Sunday that the final contract was signed around 8 a.m.

“ANA has been a tremendous partner from day one,” Fancher said. “Through the hard work and challenges, the Boeing team never lost focus on the commitments to our valued customer.”

Boeing will hand over the first 787 to ANA in a ceremony that begins at 9 a.m. Monday. That event will be webcast live on Boeing’s new airplane site.

ANA plans to fly the 787 home to Tokyo on Tuesday, leaving Everett’s Paine Field at 6:35 a.m.
