Graham Kerr to speak
Graham Kerr is the noon speaker at the Stillaguamish Senior Center‘s annual Health and Social Services Fair set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd.
Kerr, best known as The Galloping Gourmet, plans to talk about the importance of good health, good taste and good fun.
Representatives from the Social Security Administration, the Department of Social and Health Services and Senior Services of Snohomish County plan to be on hand to provide information about available services.
Health screenings will be available, including bone density scans, memory screenings, glucose readings and more.
Nominate a hero: The American Red Cross of Snohomish County’s 16th annual Real Heroes Breakfast is planned for Dec. 8.
Nominate heroes by Friday. It could be someone who saved a life, performed an incredible act of unselfishness or showed extreme courage in the face of a crisis.

YMCA starts program for dads and kids: The Marysville YMCA plans to start a program for fathers and their children.
The Kids-N-Pops program is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Marysville YMCA Youth Development Center, 6420 60th Drive NE. It will run Tuesdays and Thursdays through Dec. 15 and include light dinners, field trips and group outings. The program is free.
