Body ID’d as missing Lakes Stevens man

SNOHOMISH — A body found in a ditch near Snohomish on Thursday is that of a missing Lake Stevens man.

Edward J. Kirgan, 48, was found along Marsh Road, off Highway 9, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Investigators believe Kirgan’s motorcycle left the road and went into a ditch, where he drowned. His death was ruled an accident.

Kirgan was last seen Aug. 7 in Bothell. Lake Stevens police had been investigating his disappearance.
