GOLD BAR — Officials Wednesday released the name of a man who died in a head-on wreck on U.S. 2 in Gold Bar earlier this month.

Harry A. McAffe, 72, of Gold Bar, died July 14 after his Ford Focus reportedly crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle. He likely had suffered heart trouble while driving, and died from blunt-force injuries in the collision, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled an accident.

McAffe was alone in the Focus. Everyone else involved in the crash is recovering from their injuries, officials said.
