Two injured in one-vehicle accident on U.S. 2 trestle

LAKE STEVENS — A man and a boy were injured Thursday after a vehicle accident on the east end of the U.S. 2 trestle.

They were in a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan that struck a barrier near the exit to Highway 204, according to the Washington State Patrol. The crash happened about 2:30 p.m.

The man, 19, and the boy, 12, both of Lake Stevens, were taken to a local hospital. The minivan was totalled.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
