Prep softball: Lynnwood 18, Shorewood 8 (6 innings)

BOTHELL — After Shorewood put up four runs in the top half of the sixth inning to narrow the Royals’ lead to only a run, Lynnwood ended the Wesco 3A game early with nine runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Lynnwood’s winning pitcher Kelsie Mason hit 4-for-4 from the plate with three singles and a triple with three RBI. Sisters Erica Gott and Jessica Gott hit 3-for-4 and 3-for-5, respectively, each finishing with a double and three RBI. Shorewood’s Madison Hollenbeck was 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the first inning.
