Arlington: Teen suicide forum series
The Arlington High School Booster Club has scheduled a series of free forums on teen suicide.
Organizers hope to raise awareness in an effort to prevent suicides.
The introductory session, which outlines the factors that may contribute
to suicidal thoughts and actions, is set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Byrnes Performing Arts Center, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd. Other forums are May 11, 12, 25 and 26.
The forums are intended for parents, concerned community adults and high school graduates. Key Club and Honor Society students plan to provide free care for children ages 3 to 12.

Council reappoints commission members
Francis Barden, Don Munson and Barbara Tolbert have been reappointed by the Arlington City Council to serve on city commissions.
Barden serves on the park commission, Munson on the airport commission and Tolbert on the airport commission and the lodging tax advisory committee.
Lake Stevens: Help plan development
Residents can weigh in on plans for the development of the city.
A public open house is scheduled Tuesday to meet city staff and consultants and begin the visioning process for the Lake Stevens Center, an area including Frontier Village, and the 20th Street SE corridor. The event is planned from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Fire District Conference Center, 1825 South Lake Stevens Road.
A workshop is also scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Lake Stevens School District Education Center, 12309 22nd St. NE. The workshop is to be hosted by the Lake Stevens Planning Commission and includes a presentation before attendees break into groups to participate in creating a separate vision for each subarea.

Marysville: Exhibitors sought
Marysville Community Coalition volunteers are seeking exhibitors to present interactive activities and events to help families become more active at this year’s Marysville Healthy Communities Challenge Day.
Challenge Day is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 4 at Allen Creek Elementary School, 6505 60th Drive NE.
Booth spaces are available for a $10 donation, which includes a table and chairs if needed. A limited number of power connections will be available. Exhibitors are responsible for providing tents or canopies and power cables.
Vendor applications are available at www.marysvillehealthy communitiesproject.com and must be returned by 5 p.m. May 5.
