Learn, teach at the beach

Do you love to spend time at the beach?
You can learn more about it and help educate kids and adults on the wonders of its natural beauty and wildlife.
The Washington State University Snohomish County Extension Beach Watchers are offering free beach naturalist training from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 22 at Mukilteo Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., and from 10 a.m. to noon April 30 at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, 609 Front St.
Volunteers receive nine hours of training and give back nine hours of volunteer time at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park or Kayak Point Park in Stanwood in the spring and summer.
Register by April 15. Volunteers must complete background checks.
