Multilingual Multicultural Job Fair planned at EvCC

More than 40 employers and 200 job seekers are expected to be in attendance at a Multilingual Multicultural Job Fair in Everett this week.

The event is scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 pm. Wednesday at Everett Community College’s Jackson Conference Center, 2000 Tower St., Everett. It’s the third annual event that seeks to help connect non-English speakers with jobs in the community.

There are more than 110,000 foreign-born individuals living in Snohomish County and about 77 percent of them are of job age, according to the Census bureau. About 19 percent of the county’s population speaks a language other than English at home.
