Man critical after being pinned between truck and building

LYNNWOOD — A 26-year-old man was in critical condition Tuesday after he was pinned between a box truck and a building near Lynnwood.

The Federal Way man was making a delivery to a business in the 16900 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. His truck struck a wall around 1:40 p.m.

His co-workers were following behind in a car, said Lt. Rob Martin with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. They found the Federal Way man in the business’ parking lot. He was pinned between the driver’s side of the truck and the wall, Martin said.

They moved the vehicle, and a sheriff’s sergeant performed CPR until paramedics arrived. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office is investigating.
