EVERETT — Major crimes detectives have arrested a woman in connection with a recent shooting and robbery.

Officers on Oct. 24 were dispatched to the 800 block of Hawthorne Street in Everett to check on the welfare of a 36-year-old man at his home. They found him awake but unresponsive. He was taken to a local hospital where it was discovered he had been shot and two bullets were lodged in his head.

Detectives searched the man’s home and discovered his wallet was missing. They also determined that the woman, who had been at the home numerous times before, was the last person to be inside. Detectives found that around the time of the shooting, there were nearly $12,000 in transactions involving the man’s financial accounts, including withdrawals and charges. The charges were tracked to area businesses where it was confirmed the woman had used the accounts.

Detectives arrested the 21-year-old Concrete woman in Mount Vernon on Tuesday afternoon. During an interview, she allegedly admitted to shooting the man and stealing his wallet. She has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of robbery, assault and identity theft.
