1 person sent to hospital after crash on U.S. 2

MONROE — A domino-effect crash shut down U.S. 2 and sent one person to a local hospital Friday afternoon near Monroe, according to the Washington State Patrol.
An eastbound Toyota RAV4 had stopped and an Ford F-150 was slowing behind on the highway around 5 p.m. near Roosevelt Road, trooper Heather Axtman said.
A Toyota Tundra rear-ended the Ford, according to state troopers. Tools in the back of the F-150 jolted forward and cut the driver of the truck. The Ford driver’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
All three vehicles took damage.
The highway was closed in both directions as troopers investigated.
