EVERETT — Three people were taken into custody after fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle on I-5 Tuesday afternoon, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

They drove northbound in the southbound lanes.

Deputies had tried pulling over the stolen Subaru when it was northbound, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. It crossed the median between 164th and 128th streets, and went into oncoming traffic.

At some point, the vehicle stopped and the trio fled. A police dog found them.

The investigation was ongoing.
