Everett native’s part of Cinderella season

Not very often does an NHL player hail from the state of Washington, let alone star in that league. But T.J. Oshie, born in Everett, is now on the cusp of winning a Stanley Cup Championship with his current team the Washington Capitals.

He plays a very significant role on that team, and has put together a fine career that is now in its 10th year.

After a thrilling Eastern Conference Finals, the Capitals are in search of their first championship in franchise history. They will now face off against the first year Vegas Golden Knights, who will try to make history of their own as the first expansion team in the four major professional leagues to win a championship in their first season of existence.

I don’t think Hollywood could have written a better script for this upcoming Stanley Cup Finals, and it should be a very exciting and compelling series that will be starring one of the greatest athletes to ever come out of Everett. Go Capitals!
