‘Band mom’ extraordinaire honored in Arlington

Teresa Hanna is the recipient of the Arlington Mayor’s Volunteer Award.

Hanna is an active “band mom,” attending events and hauling drums for her kids and other band students. She helped her daughter, Cami, bring band back to Darrington and runs a custom drum-making business with her husband, Mark, from their home in Oso. Following the slide, she helped local kids get to band practice and have clothes for school. For the Fourth of July last year, she also served as organizer of the Arlington Community Band.
