Death of woman hit by train ruled a suicide

EDMONDS — The death of a woman hit by a train in Edmonds has been ruled a suicide.

The woman, 33, was struck Saturday evening on the railroad tracks near the Edmonds ferry terminal. An investigation shut down ferry service through the night.

After an autopsy, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office announced Monday that the death was suicide.
