Want to vote in the primary? Deadline to register is Monday

EVERETT — If you want to vote in the Aug. 7 primary, Monday is the last day to register by mail or online.
If you are already registered but have recently moved or changed your name, it is also the deadline to update your registration.
After that, it can done in person at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office until July 30.
To be eligible to vote, one must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by Election Day and have lived in Washington for at least 30 days.
Online registration can be done at www.myvote.wa.gov. The forms can be found at that site as well as at local libraries, post offices and the auditor’s office in the county administration building at 3000 Rockefeller Ave. It is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ballots for the primary will be mailed to registered voters starting July 19.
