Rotary Club of Everett Port Gardner awards $54K in grants

The Rotary Club of Everett Port Gardner awarded $54,000 in grants to local and international service projects for 2018-19.

Local grants:

$2,500: American Red Cross Snohomish County for its home fire campaign and smoke detectors

$2,000: Cascade Boys & Girls Club’s after-school programs

$3,000: Burned Children’s Recovery Center’s Camp Phoenix

$1,000: Camp Fire of Snohomish County’s Mega Club (Camperships)

$1,500: Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County gala sponsorship

$1,000: Everett Clubhouse renovations

$2,000: Everett Medic One Foundation for CPR and AED equipment in schools

$5,000: Everett Museum of History’s capital campaign

$5,500: Everett Parks Department’s Harborview Park Accessibility Pathway Project

$1,000: Rotary Club of Mill Creek and Peoria House to renovate a garage for support services

$2,000: Sharing Wheels Bike Shop to support weekend hours

$1,500: Mill Creek YMCA’s “Invest in Youth” campaign

International grants:

$10,000: Hands For Peacemaking’s clean air stoves project in Guatemala (with a Rotary District matching grant of $10,000)

$3,000: Hands For Peacemaking (Guatemala) operations costs

$500: Hands for Peacemaking (Guatemala) library project

$1,000: Healing the Children (Guatemala) audiology program

$1,000: Healing the Children, to help meet a variety of needs worldwide

$1,500: Cura Orphanage (Kenya) schools program

$2,500: Eagle Nest (Worldwide) equipment repairs

$1,500: Living Water International (Kenya) to update water systems

$1,000: Rotoract of Snohomish County’s international service program
