Man, woman hit while riding motorcycle in Arlington

ARLINGTON — A man and woman were ejected from the motorcycle they were riding Sunday afternoon after being hit by a car on Highway 9.

According to City of Arlington spokeswoman Kristin Banfield, the driver of the car didn’t yield at the traffic signal at East Highland Drive, then collided with the motorcycle around 2:50 p.m.

The man and woman were taken to Cascade Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

The Arlington Police Department was investigating the cause of the crash.
