AquaSox hold off comeback in 9th inning, beat Spokane

EVERETT — The Spokane Indians rallied for three runs in the ninth and brought the tying run to the plate, but the Everett AquaSox held on for a 6-4 victory Friday night at Funko Field.

James Parker hit a triple, Ty Duvall a double and Trent Tingelstad a single as each drove in a run during a three-run third for the AquaSox (54-64). Mike Salvatore, Spencer Packard and Robert Perez Jr. added RBI singles.

Hunter Goodman hit a three-run home run to pull the Indians (60-55) within 6-4 in the ninth. Colin Simpson followed with a single, but Everett’s Tim Elliot induced a groundout to end Spokane’s comeback attempt.

Logan Rinehart (2-2) allowed one run on five hits and four walks over six strong innings. He struck out seven.

Spokane’s Andrew Quezada (9-2) surrendered four runs, three earned, on eight hits and one walk in three innings pitched.
