Pedestrian hit, hospitalized after crash on Highway 99 in Edmonds

EDMONDS — A pedestrian was hospitalized after a driver hit them Sunday night on Highway 99 in Edmonds.

The pedestrian was crossing near 238th Street SW when the southbound driver struck them, according to the Edmonds Police Department.

The pedestrian was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers, according to the Edmonds Police Department.

The southbound lanes were closed during the investigation but reopened later Sunday evening.
