Two injured Saturday in collision on U.S. 2

MONROE — A Tacoma man was in serious condition at Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center following a collision on U.S. 2 at Old Owen Road on Saturday night.

The crash was reported at 10:40 p.m. and occurred when a westbound car driven by Bryan Scott, 23, was passing other cars, crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound car driven by a 52-year old man from Fresno, California, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Scott was taken by helicopter to Harborview.

The California man, Daryl Blanton, was taken to Valley General Hospital in Monroe.
