Motorcyclist dies, another injured in two-vehicle crash in Arlington

ARLINGTON — A motorcyclist died and another driver was transported to Cascade Valley Hospital after a two-vehicle crash Friday in Arlington, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4:30 p.m., a motorcycle and pickup truck collided at the intersection of 252nd St NE at 50th Ave NE, the sheriff’s office posted on social media. The motorcyclist died at the scene, said Jason Tift, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.

The name of the motorcyclist is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office were investigating the collision Friday.

The cause of the crash remains unclear, Tift said.
