Marysville comedy show hopes ladies will laugh out loud

EVERETT — The Marysville Opera House will host Seattle comedian Mary Lou Gamba as part of the Ladies Laugh Out Loud Comedy Show, a press release said.

There are two show times available on Nov. 15 — 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The opera house resides at 1225 3rd Street in Marysville.

Tickets cost $45 and include heavy appetizers, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine will be available for an additional charge that will support Soroptimist International of Marysville’s mission of empowering women and girls to live their dreams.

The event is for adults 21 and older.

Gamba has been featured in Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival, Seattle’s Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival and competed in the 2017 Seattle International Comedy Competition, her website says. Comedian Jaci Terjeson will Emcee — Genevieve Ferrari and Cara Rosellini will perform during the first half.

“This annual show has become a landmark event for women in our community to enjoy a night out,” said Marysville Recreation Supervisor Kristen Rasmussen in the release. “It’s what our events are all about: building community.”
