This holiday season, in a heartwarming display of community partnership, two very different worlds are colliding — professional wrestling and recovery support.

Peak Sports and Entertainment, a local professional wrestling company, is partnering with the Recovery Café to present the Peak Slams Addiction: Everett Recovery Café benefit.

This unique fundraiser gives sports fans a chance to cheer on the local professional wrestling community, take in an exciting live show and know their support is going twice as far.

Kyle Roscoe, Director of Everett Recovery Café and a professional wrestler at Peak Sports and Entertainment is especially excited to be bringing his two passions together.

“This partnership was inspired in part, thanks to my own combined passion for the sport and for the recovery community,” Roscoe says. “It’s creative partnerships like this that ensure programs and services at places like Recovery Café can continue to thrive.”

For the past decade, Everett’s Recovery Café has been a supportive space, offering a safe and healing environment for people facing homelessness, addiction and mental health challenges.

For Roscoe, the magic of this event is simple: two completely separate worlds joining together to lift up their neighbors.

“I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to help bring these two communities together. It’s sure to be an exciting show and the funds raised will go a long way in supporting programs and services at the café,” Roscoe says.

With more than 279 active members, the café has become a major resource hub, offering recovery circles, kitchen and barista training, gas vouchers, housing support and daily meals.

All essential lifelines for individuals who are rebuilding their lives.

“Recovery services are vital for the well-being of our entire community,” Roscoe explains. “All of the proceeds from this event will translate directly into tangible support for our members.

“A big thank you to our incredible sponsors: First Security Bank, Awaken Yourself and KRB Concepts for making this event possible. We’d also like to give a special shout out to the Peak Sports owners, Chris Ross and Dave Turner.”

The event kicks off at 5 p.m. on Dec. 20 at 2711 Oakes Ave., in Anacortes. Community members are encouraged to come out, show support and enjoy an evening of exciting, professional wrestling.
