Bike rider who died on Maltby trail identified

EVERETT — A man who died while riding his mountain bike in the Paradise Valley Conservation Area near Maltby on Saturday has been identified as a Monroe man.

Steven D. Quinton, 56, died of head injuries in a biking accident, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office reported.

A hiker in the area called 911 around 1 p.m. to report that he and others were performing CPR on the man who was found injured near a popular biking trail. He died at the scene.
