This week’s featured new home is a two-bedroom, 2.25-bath condominium located on the north end of Camano Island.
Built by RGN Construction, the 1,800-square-foot condo is part of a four-unit complex that’s across the street from Utsalady Bay. The location provides views of the bay, Whidbey Island and the Olympic Mountains.
Exterior features include stained cedar shingles, cultured stone accents, a metal roof, stamped concrete, professional landscaping and a private patio with a fireplace. A covered, balcony-style deck with a pine soffit and a Plexiglas windbreak provides a view from the upper level.
The condo has radiant floor heating, zoned lighting, exotic hardwood flooring, slab granite countertops with a tile backsplash made from recycled glass, a security system, stainless steel appliances, a gas fireplace and cherry-paneled cabinets.
There is slate tile in the foyer and Brazilian cherry flooring on the stairwell and main floor. A soaring, hip-vaulted ceiling creates the illusion of more space.
In the great-room is a gas fireplace with a wood mantel and a raised hearth covered by a granite slab and surrounded by cultured stone. The fireplace also has board and batten trim that ascends to the ceiling. A wall of windows frames the views to the north and west.
Steps away are a formal dining room and an island-design kitchen. The dining room has a modern glass light fixture, a large window and a storefront door that opens to a covered balcony with additional views.
The kitchen features a two-tiered, center island with an extended breakfast bar on the upper tier and an under-mount, stainless steel sink on the lower level. Custom cherry cabinets are complemented by stainless steel appliances that include a side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water in the door, a drawer microwave and a six-burner, commercial-grade range.
On the main floor are also a powder room and the master suite. Powder room amenities include a pocket door, a slab granite countertop, a glass basin and a beveled, oval-shaped vanity mirror.
Master suite amenities include a vaulted ceiling and square-shaped privacy and floor-to-ceiling windows.
The master bathroom complements has 18-inch ceramic tile flooring, an extended double vanity with a slab countertop and a framed vanity surround, and an oversized, walk-in shower with a brick-style ceramic tile and clear glass enclosure. Completing the suite is a large walk-in wardrobe closet with a built-in wood organizer system on three walls.
The downstairs level holds a den/media room, a second bedroom, a full bath, a utility room, a two-car garage and an outdoor room with pavers and a built-in fireplace. The patio can be accessed through sliding glass doors in both the media room and bedroom.
