Chiropractor wins association’s President’s Award
Lake Stevens chiropractor J. Marvin Gaddis was recently honored by the Washington State Chiropractic Association with its President’s Award. Gaddis founded Lake Stevens Chiropractic Clinic located at 905 Highway NE in Lake Stevens. He is a 1965 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and has been in practice for 48 years.
Everett accountants hold food, toy drive
Everett-based Maris &Associates CPA is holding its First Annual Winter Food Drive through Dec. 23 at 10512 19th Ave. SE, Suite 101, Everett. The company is collecting food, paper goods, cleaning supplies, personal care items, pet food, toys, gift cards and monetary donations. All donations benefit the Volunteers of America Everett Food Bank.
Diamond Knot to offer anniversary brew each month
To celebrate 20 years of Diamond Knot, the brewery has created a special 20th Anniversary Ale. It is a combination of 666 and Shipwreck XXXIPA and will be available the 15th of every month. Diamond Knot celebrated its 20th anniversary on Oct. 15.
Edmonds trench could cost up to $290 million
Building a train trench to address increasing train traffic along the Edmonds waterfront could cost between $250 million to $290 million according to a preliminary analysis conducted by engineering firm Tetra Tech on behalf of the City of Edmonds. The initial study was commissioned by Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling as part of the city’s effort to assess the feasibility of potential solutions to this issue.
Clothes For Kids asks for organizations to hold clothing drives
Clothes For Kids invites organizations, companies, schools and churches to host a clothing drive to celebrate the holiday season. The organization’s website has a tab with all the information needed to get started. Since Aug. 20, Clothes For Kids has provided school wardrobes to more than 2,200 students for this school year. New inventory is always needed.
