Good deeds

Ford Smith II, co-founder of PetSmart, and wife Nancy Smith, have donated money and goods to service troops in Iraq. They donated $1,000 for pompoms and $1,400 for soccer balls. The couple also donated thousands of dollars worth of gift packs that they had purchased at the Everett Costco, in conjunction with Kathy Gambill, business development director at the store and Everett Navy League vice president.

Awards

The TownePlace Suites Seattle North/Mukilteo has been given the Hotel of the Year award for 2004 by Marriott International, Inc. In other news, Linda Beecher, director of sales, was awarded the Top Sales Leader for TownePlace Suites, Nationwide. The hotel, located at 8521 Mukilteo Speedway, has been the TownePlace Suites leader in guest satisfaction the past three years.
