Tom Miller has been named president of Everett’s Intermec Technologies Corp. He previously served as executive vice president for sales and marketing. Steve Winter has been promoted to executive vice president. Both men will be vice presidents of Everett-based UNOVA Inc., Intermec’s parent company. Also promoted was Sue Taylor, who has been named vice president and chief information officer for UNOVA. She previously served in those positions for Intermec.

R. Janet Whitmore has been named to the board of directors of Epoch Biosciences Inc. of Bothell. She is founder and president of Benton Consulting LLC and a former Mobil Corp. executive.

James V. Fix is the new Edward Jones investment representative in Mukilteo. Before joining the financial services company, Fix was a Navy sonar technician. He can be reached at 425-290-5399.

Dr. Thomas Benjamin has purchased the Everett dental practice of Dr. Robert Trosvig, who will work Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during a transition period. Jack Albright has been promoted to vice president and properties manager at Cascade Bank based in Everett. He has worked for the bank for nine years and is overseeing construction of its newest branch in Snohomish.

Teresa Beck and Vaughn Bryson have joined the board of directors of Bothell-based ICOS Corp. Beck is a former president and chief financial officer of American Stores Co. and Bryson was president and CEO of Eli Lilly and Co., ICOS’ partner in Cialis, a male impotency drug.

Brusseau’s Sidewalk Cafe & Bakery in downtown Edmonds will close its doors forever Sunday after 26 years of service from original owner Jerilyn Brussea and current owner Kathy Stanley. Stanley said she is writing a cookbook from the restaurants long history. Restaurant equipment, artwork and furnishings will be sold in an auction starting at 10 a.m. March 30, with a preview starting at 8 a.m.

Morgan Sound Inc. of Lynnwood was presented the Parnelli Award for best regional sound company of the year during a recent industry convention in California. President Charlie Morgan accepted the award, which is determined by peers from other audio companies.

An employment support class for women who need to re-enter the workforce is offered by the Pathways for Women YWCA. The third annual Youth Job Fair will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Embassy Suites, 20610 44th Ave. W. in Lynnwood. The fair is intended to connect young people from ages 16 to 21 with summer jobs or year-round positions that are full or part time. The fair is free for both attendees and for employers who want a free six-foot table. The program will also include training sessions for youths in such areas as building a career without college, getting jobs without experience, interviewing techniques and developing a quality resume.

Everett Rotary will hold a career fair 9:15 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at Everett Community College for some 600 high school students. The program will include breakout sessions looking at a variety of careers with some 70 volunteer professionals. Some 80 Rotary volunteers will staff the event, which is free for students and includes lunch. Students from throughout Snohomish County are expected to attend.
