Helen Pumphrey, director of The Everett Clinic, has been named perioperative nurse manager of the year by the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses. Pumphrey directs the clinic’s preoperative care, operating rooms and recovery unit. She was lauded by coworkers for her mentorship, encouragement and rigid adherence to association standards for patient care. She will receive her award in March at the annual meeting of the organization, which has some 40,000 members.
Claudia Levi has been hired by Edmonds Community College as a full-time instructor of business management. She’ll lend her expertise to the college’s project management certificate program that began this fall. Levi previously worked for a Munich consulting firm, working on project management programs for clients in the United States. Previously she worked as a process analyst for the Boeing Co. She has a master’s degree in business administration from Seattle University.
Todd Wallin has joined Murphy’s Corner Physical Therapy as a therapist. Wallin, a University of Colorado graduate, has 22 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy.

Dr. Antonio Grillo-Lopez and Dr. Michael Caligiuri have joined the scientific advisory board of Seattle Genetics of Bothell. Grillo-Lopez is the former chief medical officer for IDEC Pharmaceuticals and Caligiuri is the director of the cancer center at Ohio State University.
