Fitness group opens new Everett gym

The owners of MUV Fitness used to operate in the area as Vision Quest Sport and Fitness.

EVERETT — MUV Fitness, a new 43,000-square-foot gym, is open at 11014 19th Ave. SE.

The facility includes a swimming pool, basketball court, sauna, group exercise room and children’s area.

The owners of MUV Fitness operated 10 fitness gyms in the Seattle area under the name Vision Quest Sport and Fitness until 2013, when the chain was sold to LA Fitness.

After a seven-year break, the group reformed under with a new brand name, MUV Fitness, and acquired the Everett location.

“We are excited to be back in our home court and re-connect with our past customers and staff to bring this new business model to the area,” owners Chip Schwerzel and Jeff Carlson said in a company statement.

“We have experience in this market and realize there is a need for our new style, look and template in this region and plan on opening up to 10 more locations in the coming years,” Schwerzel and Carlson said.

MUV has locations in Portland, Spokane, South Carolina and Seattle. The company plans to continue to expand throughout the Puget Sound region.
