This free training is open to anyone who’s interested.
What to expect:
• History and overview of disability services and supports;
• Individuals with disabilities will share their personal experience and the importance of relationships and access to the community;
• Hear from parents and family about how simple accommodations can make a difference, the importance of being able to access the community and the importance of relationships;
• Learn how to involve and include individuals with disabilities in their local communities through inclusive child care, employment, recreation opportunities, leadership roles, transportation and participating in community events; and
• Learn about local resources available.
