Controversy aside, health care reform is complicated. And if you’re scratching your head and asking what it means for your company, you’re not alone.

The legislation is, after all, more than 2,300 pages long.

But you don’t have to slog through that to understand the basics. First, here’s a quick look at the picture the president is painting. This Wordle shows what he said in a speech in Iowa City earlier today.

And here’s your reading assignment.

First up, this piece from the Wall Street Journal about (surprise!)companies being confused by health care legislation. It does a pretty good job of laying out a simple sketch of how small businesses will be impacted.

Second, this USA Today story will fill in some of the information gaps.

Have a little more TIME on your hands? This package goes into more depth, and not just about the small-business angle.

Still have questions about how this works? Post them in the comments, and I’ll try to find answers.
