Beer, wine, spirits: Where to grab a drink in Snohomish County

Dog Days of Skookum: Celebrate your four-legged friend at Skookum’s Dog Days of Skookum event at noon Aug. 17 at the brewery, 17925 59th Ave. NE, Arlington. There will be raffles, food trucks and beer. A portion of proceeds will go to Save-A-Mutt.

Blues Rock Fest: Enjoy live music and beer at Dreadnought’s Blues Rock Fest at noon Aug. 17 at the brewery, 16726 146th St. SE, Monroe. There will be live music from Joey Houck Band and Jesse James and the Mob.

Fort George Brewing tasting: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Oregon’s Fort George Brewing for a tasting at 5 p.m. Aug. 21 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Upper Left Beerfest: The third annual Upper Left Beerfest is Aug. 23-24 in downtown Everett. The beerfest is 4 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 23 and noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 24. Tickets are $20 for one day or $35 for both and include a commemorative glass and tasting tokens. There will be live music, and the Everett Food Truck Festival is happening down the street.

Ecliptic Brewing tasting: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Portland’s Ecliptic Brewing for a tasting at 5 p.m. Aug. 28 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Left Hand Brewing tasting: Monroe’s Route 2 Taproom and Grazing Place is hosting Colorado’s Left Hand Brewing for a tasting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at the taproom, 19837 U.S. 2, Monroe.

Breakside Brewing tasting: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Portland’s Breakside Brewing for a tasting at 5 p.m. Sept. 4 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Everett Beer Week: The second annual Everett Beer Week is Sept. 6-14. There will be events at breweries, taprooms and bars around Everett and an official beer. The kickoff event is 6 p.m. Sept. 6 at Scuttlebutt Brewery’s taproom, 3314 Cedar St., Everett.

Cider Summit Seattle: Cider Summit Seattle offers some of the region’s best cider Sept. 6-7 at MOHAI, 860 Terry Ave. N., Seattle. The event will feature more than 150 ciders from more than 50 cideries, including Everett’s Soundbite Cider. Sessions are 3 to 8 p.m. Sept. 6 and noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 7. General admission tickets are $30 and VIP tickets are $40.

Bike with the Brewers: Grab your two-wheeler and join Everett brewers and the Cycling Cicerone on Sept. 8 for a bike tour of Everett breweries, starting at 4:30 p.m. at At Large, 2730 W. Marine View Drive, and continuing to Scuttlebutt, Lazy Boy, Crucible and Middleton.

Soundbite Cider tasting: Everett’s Toggle’s Bottle Shop is hosting Everett’s Soundbite Cider for a tasting at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at the bottle shop, 1420 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Cigar City Brewing tasting: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Florida’s Cigar City Brewing for a tasting at 5 p.m. Sept. 11 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Scuttlebutt Oktoberfest: Everett’s Scuttlebutt Brewing is hosting its second annual Oktoberfest celebration at 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at the taproom, 3314 Cedar St., Everett. Scuttlebutt will be featuring seven different German-style beers. Admission is $5 and includes an Oktoberfest button.

Caldera Brewing tasting: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Caldera Brewing for a tasting at 5 p.m. Sept. 18 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Beer in the Barn: Trails End Taphouse is hosting the fifth annual Beer in the Barn, a beer festival that benefits Snohomish Panther Junior Football Association, at Thomas Family Farm, 9010 Marsh Road, Snohomish. Tickets, $25 in advance and $30 at the door, can be purchased at www.thomasfamilyfarm.com/beer-in-the-barn.
