EVERETT — A man died and another was arrested after an apparent shooting Saturday night in Everett.
Police responded to reports of someone being shot in the 5100 block of Glenwood Avenue and a car crash a block away around 7:12 p.m.
Officers found a rear-end collision involving two vehicles. No one was in the front vehicle. A man in his 40s was in the rear vehicle and he had what appeared to be a gunshot wound, according to the Everett Police Department.
He died at the scene. The man’s identification and cause and manner of death will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
A witness to the collision pointed out the suspect, a man in his 50s, standing in a group of onlookers. Officers allegedly found a handgun in his pocket.
He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for suspicion of second-degree murder.
