1 killed in shooting at Lynnwood park

LYNNWOOD — One person was killed Tuesday in a shooting at Daleway Park in Lynnwood, according to police.

Multiple shots were fired around 2:15 p.m. in the park at 19015 64th Ave. W, Lynnwood police Cmdr. Sean Doty said.

The deceased was found in a vehicle in the parking lot.

Two people were detained, Doty said. Others were reported to have fled the park. It was unknown if those who fled were armed. Police were searching for a car that reportedly drove off from the scene. Detectives reportedly found several bullet casings in the parking lot.

The park and part of 64th Avenue were closed.
