LYNNWOOD — The driver of a stolen car caused three crashes Monday as he fled Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies south of Everett.
A sheriff’s deputy saw the green Saturn around noon at 148th Place SW and Jefferson Way. The deputy looked up the license plate and found it had been reported stolen. The driver fled.
The deputy did not give chase with lights and sirens, but the car sped off recklessly — striking a car, continuing on, striking a fence, continuing on and crashing over a curb on Admiralty Way more than a mile away, according to the sheriff’s office.
A police dog chased down the suspected driver, 25, near the scene of the third crash. A passenger, 21, was arrested too.
No one was seriously hurt.
