LAKE STEVENS — The 57th annual Aquafest kicked off Friday and continues through Sunday.

The festival includes rides, shows, food and competitions near and on the county’s largest lake.

Most of the festivities are downtown near North Cove park, though construction around City Hall might cause some events to be relocated this year.

Among the Saturday highlights are: the morning Aquarun on Main Street; a waterskiing and wakeboard tournament on the lake; the Grand Parade downtown at 1 p.m.; a boat parade at 7 starting at Wyatt Park; and fireworks over the lake around 10. Live music Saturday evening is a celebration of the ’80s.

On Sunday, a stand-up paddleboard social, Family Funfest, and quadrathon — run, swim, bike and paddle boat— are planned, among other events.
