Here’s how some of your taxes were spent during recent city council actions.

Arlington: $5,371 to Bruce &Becky’s Interiors of Arlington to buy and install new carpet in Hadley Hall.

$150 to the National Fire Protection Association of Manchester, N.H., for the fire chief’s annual membership dues.

$418 to Wileywood Nurseries Inc. of Monroe as a deposit for hanging flower baskets. In the spring, once the flowers have grown, the city plans to hang the baskets along Olympic Avenue and Smokey Point Boulevard.

$2,016 to the U.S. Postal Service in Arlington for postage to mail the city’s Parks &Recreation winter guide.

Everett: $24,054 to Hatloes Carpet One for new flooring at the Everett Animal Shelter.

$25,123 to Heartland Consulting for work on the riverfront redevelopment project.

$35,326 to the Downtown Association for improvements to Everpark, a city-owned parking garage at 2815 Hoyt Ave.

Monroe: $319 to Chinook Lumber of Monroe for roof improvements at City Hall.

$2,242 to NorthStar Chemical Inc. of Portland, Ore., for scrubber chemical.

$3,477 to Okanogan County Jail for jail fees for September.

Snohomish: $2,812 to JMJ Printing Co. of Snohomish for 10,000 copies of walking tour brochure.

$92,115 to Lynnwood Disposal Service of Bellevue for solid waste recycling in October.
