Clinton making stops in Everett, Seattle for Murray

Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., is getting help from another heavyweight in the Democratic Party – former President Bill Clinton.

On Oct. 18, Clinton will touch down for a Get-Out-The-Vote rally at the Flying Heritage Collection at Paine Field in Everett.

Before the rally, he’ll dine for dollars for Murray at a private fundraiser in Seattle.

Clinton seems to be a regular visitor to the state in even-numbered years.

In 2008, he stumped for his wife, Hillary, and in 2006 headlined a big money maker for Sen. Maria Cantwell.

His visit will come a month after President Barack Obama helped Murray out a couple of fundraisers in the Seattle area.

Also in October, Vice President Joe Biden will be at an Oct. 8 rally in Tacoma and first lady Michelle Obama is due in the state Oct. 25.
