Everett and Edmonds community college testing centers are trying to accommodate a wave of people who hope to finish their GED exams before Dec. 31, when the test format changes.
Both testing centers have set deadlines of Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 for people to register who have not taken any of the five exams needed to earn a GED, or General Education Development certificate. The certificate shows they have gained the skills and knowledge of high school graduates.
At Everett Community College, the center can be reached at 425-388-9288. The test schedule also available on the college’s Web site at www.evcc.ctc.edu/template.cfm?doc_id=259.
At Edmonds Community College, the center can be reached at 425-640-1546. It is open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays Dec. 1, 8 and 29.
