EVERETT — Everett police officers used tasers on a man Saturday night who was later hospitalized.
The officers responded to “a suspicious call” around 8:20 p.m. at 1510 Broadway in Everett, according to the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team (SMART) which investigates law enforcement use of force.
They found the man, 31, and fired their tasers after an altercation and took him to the Snohomish County Jail.
During booking, jail medical staff saw the man exhibiting some kind of symptoms and sent him to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Hospital staff determined his symptoms were “consistent with a prior medical condition” and he was expected to be released within a day, according to SMART.
After his release from the hospital, he could be arrested for investigation of assault.
